My bad.

So if I've learnt anything over the past two months it's that I am apparently not very good at keeping a blog up to date. I'll chalk it all down to the fact that I've been kept very busy with travelling, sight seeing and, on top of that, school work.

I won't go into too much detail now, as I don't want to post tremendously long posts, so I'll just give a quick summary of some of things I've been doing, other than not updating my blog.

Last week was reading week so I visited Guilin on mainland China and then onto Taipei, Taiwan for the rest of the week. I shall give more detailed account of these trips in a future post... Touch wood.

I've also been exploring Hong Kong and getting to know the ins and outs of HKU campus and the area where I live. I've been to the beach beach (let's go get away....) salsa dancing, experiencing "ladies' night", over dosing on caffeine, queuing endlessly for visas, visiting Macau, shopping (duh) and all the usual day to day activities of your typical Hong Konger. I picked up my HKID card today so it's now official!

My dad and sister have booked their flights for Christmas so I super excited to show them the city and be in charge of the whole holiday, more or less. Most of what I've got planned thus far is places treat.

I've obviously been sampling endless amounts of local cuisine and trying out all the incredible (and cheap!) places to eat on campus. My favourites so far are the sizzling hot plates and the noodle/dim sum place.

Will hopefully get this up and running more efficiently from now on!

Au revoir! Or rather auf Wiedersehen as I have decide to try and learn some German! One of my roommates is from Germany which makes this plan particularly excellent.
